POLICE APPEAL FOR HELP: Toddler found wandering streets at 6am

A toddler wearing just a Christmas t-shirt and a nappy has been found wandering along the streets of an NSW town in the early hours of the morning.

And now police are appealing for help to find his parents.

A man spotted the boy crossing the road on Kinghorne Street and Douglas Street in Nowra at 6am on Thursday. He is thought to be around 18-months-old.

The little boy was taken to the Nowra police station while officers went knocking on doors in a bid to identify who he is and where he's from.  where he was found an attempt to reunite him with his parents.

But the boy's parents have not been located and officers are preparing to widen their search.
