ANZAC DAY OPENING HOURS: When Coles, Woolworths, ALDI, bottle shops and Bunnings will be open

So just how does Anzac Day affect the trading hours of your local supermarkets, shops and bottle shops? See our ultimate guide so you can plan ahead!

Keep in mind that many petrol stations and convenience stores will still be open even if your local supermarket isn’t - but it might be worth popping out tonight for any last-minute essentials!

 

Woolworths

Most Woolworths supermarkets in Melbourne, Sydney and Canberra will be open from 1pm. 

In Brisbane, however, most Woolies will be closed all day - however their Skygate store near Brisbane airport will be open after 1pm. 

Tasmanian Woolworths stores will open at 12.30pm, while Woolies in the Northern Territory will be have regular trading hours. 

Woolworths stores aligned to a Caltex service station will also be open in Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth and Adelaide.

 

 

Coles

Most Coles supermarkets across Australia, meanwhile, will either open at 1pm or shut for the day. 

Most NSW, ACT and Victoria stores will open from 1pm, at 12.30pm in Tasmania and from midday in the Northern Territory. 

A select number of WA stores will be open - with Albany, Dunsborough and Eaton Fair opening at 12pm, while Busselton will opening at 1pm.

Shoppers are encouraged to check local store details before heading out.

 

Aldi

All ALDI stores in WA and Queensland will be shut on Anzac Day. 

Most stores in NSW, meanwhile, will open from 1.15pm - except for Leichhardt which will be closed. Armidale and Casino stores, meanwhile, are open from 1.30pm.

All ALDI stores in Victoria open at 1pm, except for Albury which will open its doors at 1.30pm - while all ACT stores open at 1.15pm.

Most South Australian Aldi supermarkets won’t trade at all on Thursday except for Victor Harbor, Berri and Kadina which will open at 12pm.

Bottle shops

Liquorland stores across the country will open between 1pm and 1.15pm. 

BWS in Queensland, Northern Territory, South Australia, Victoria and Western Australia will open from 1pm - while NSW, Tasmania and the ACT stores will open at 1.15pm.

Bunnings

Bunnings stores in NSW, the ACT and Victoria will all be open from 1pm to 9pm on Anzac Day.

Adelaide’s Bunnings stores will be open from 12-5pm, while Bunnings in WA and Queensland will mostly open at 1pm.
