Ants. They get everywhere. All over the kitchen, in the cupboards, and even in the cleanest of homes they are hard to eradicate.

Aussie mum, Charlie, had enough of the little critters invading her home and took matters into her own hands.

The ants can't get enough of the home remedy syrup.

She made up a simple solution using honey and borax. You can purchase from Coles or Woolworths for around $4.

Ants have gone super crazy in the last 24 hours and I'm beyond over them.. I'm trying the borax and honey...they are definitely loving it.” said Charlie on a cleaning facebook page

Other mums immediately asked her how to make how to make the new miracle ant cleaner.

Charlie shared that she used a lid from a milk bottle, placed enough honey in the lid to cover the bottom and then simply mixed in borax to make the syrup. The ants ingest the syrup and bring it back to the nest, this ensures a greater number of ants are affected.

The bottom lid has been consumed by ants already.

You can also do equal parts borax and white sugar. That way (especially outside) they walk all over it, ingest it, and then take it back inside their nest. It won't be as quick as ant sand, but it will be way more enduring. You'll notice a huge difference within about 3 days,” Said member Nadine

Said another: "So trying this".
