The special meaning behind Charlotte’s outfit in this Royal Family photo

Just before Christmas, Kensington Palace released some beautiful photos of the royal family.

The pics included a shot from Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s wedding day, and a family portrait of Kate, Wills and their three children, Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis.

But there is a special detail which you will more than likely have missed: the significance of the sweet navy sweater Princess Charlotte is wearing.

It is actually a hand-me-down from brother George, and has appeared in quite a few royal pics!

@the_british_monarchy have just released this photograph of The Queen surrounded by her two youngest grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, to mark Her Majesty's 90th birthday. Prince George wore the sweater originally two years ago in an official portrait for the Queen’s 90th birthday, when he posed with his sister Charlotte and other royal great-grandchildren.

The young Princess also wore the sweater in a touching photo with her little brother Louis, taken by mum Kate.

While they may always look stylish, the young royal family are often seen in the same outfits more than once, but it appears this sweater has a special significance for the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and their little ones.
