Science proves it: A messy house is the sign of creativity AND intelligence - fact!

Don't tidy up!

Sick of being told to de-clutter?

Happy to live with overflowing kitchen benches? And toys everywhere?

Yes? Then you are officially creative! And you'll have creative kids!

In a study by Kathleen Vohs, PhD, of the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management, it was found that living in a messy home helps you embrace new things and come up with creative ideas!

YESSS!

Over a series of experiments, researchers found that people who live in a state of chaos and untidiness are more likely to give to charity, choose new options when presented with old problems and are keen to embrace new foods and meals on menus.

That's good enough for us.

“Disorderly environments seem to inspire breaking free of tradition, which can produce fresh insights,” Kathleen Vohs said. “Orderly environments, in contrast, encourage convention and playing it safe.”

So, what we're going to take from this is if you want creative kids who are generous and grow up to be willing to embrace new challenges, keep your house an un-holy mess of toys, clothes on the floor and don't wash up!

If that gives you permission NOT to get out the Dyson, then nothing will!
