Mum of eleven boys FINALLY has a girl!

She’s only weeks old but little Sharlene Visser is going to be one protected little sister.

With 11 older brothers, aged from 20 to two, the seven-week-old is the first daughter for parents Erica, 41, and Wayne, 45!

The super-large family consists of 20-year-old Delroy, Clayton, 19, Jeremy, 17, Mitchell, 16, Cameron, 14, Alister, 12, Brian, 10, eight-year-old twins Taylor and Nathan, Liam, 4 and Harvey, 2 - all boys.

So when Erica discovered she was pregnant for the 12th time and that it was a girl, the whole family went into shock!

Big bro Delroy says, 'I was on site at the time I was working and dad called me and he told me and I had to sit down, it was something else!'

And the family even posed for a funny photoshoot, warning off any would-be boyfriends!

Erica told 7 News she never planned to have as many children as she has. 

'When we got married we didn’t think we were going to have 12 kids but yeah it just sort of grows on you,' she said.

The Vissers all share a house with bunkbeds, a converted garage-bedroom and a huge 14-seater dining table. But they only have two bathrooms and three toilets!

But now at least mum Erica will have someone to talk to! 'Sometimes I sit at the table and I just put my hands over my ears and say ‘can you talk something other than cricket or cars or footy,' she laughed.
