Footy star announces tragic miscarriage

Footy star Taylor Walker, 28, and his partner Ellie Brown, 27, have lost their unborn baby just two months after announcing they were expecting.

The Adelaide Crows’ skipper has been given leave from pre-season training during this difficult time, the Daily Mail reports.

The Adelaide Crows shared the heartbreaking update in a club statement on Thursday.

“Adelaide has granted Taylor Walker personal leave following the loss of he and his partner Ellie's unborn baby,” the statement said.

“The thoughts of the entire Crows family are with Taylor and Ellie, as well as their extended family, at this difficult time.

“The Club asks that their privacy is respected and there will be no further comment at this stage.”

The 28-year-old has played 167 games for the Crows since his 2009 debut and was awarded captaincy in 2015.
