Heartbreaking news from royal family

Zara Tindall takes some time out and reveals sad news

The Queen’s granddaughter, Zara Tindall, made her one of her first appearances since the birth of her daughter, at the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club International Day on Saturday.

Zara and husband Mike welcomed Lena Elizabeth on June 18, a baby sister for their first daughter Mia Grace.

The royal attended the high society event alone, without hubby Mike or her daughters, and seemed in good spirits as she presented the Westchester Cup to the winners.

However all has not been rosy for Zara, who spoke candidly in an interview with the Sunday Times about suffering a second miscarriage before giving birth to her baby daughter last month.

“I… had another miscarriage really early on,” she said. “You need to go through a period where you don’t talk about it because it’s too raw, but, as with everything, time’s a great healer.”

Her first miscarriage occurred at the start of her second pregnancy two years ago.

“I had a miscarriage in 2016 and loads of people wrote to me and Mike to say they’d been through the same thing,” she revealed.

“In our case, it was something really rare; it was nature saying ‘this one’s not right.’

The royal added that the worst part of it was having to break the news to everyone.

“The 37-year-old revealed: "I had to go through having the baby because it was so far along.”

Thankfully, happier times are ahead for the family with two beautiful, healthy daughters to raise.

Four-year-old Mia is due to start school in September and Zara says with a newborn she feels she is “going back and doing it all again” but added “It is fine at the moment.”
