Yes it does!

December 03 2018

There’s nothing better than a gin and tonic on a hot summers day, are we right?!

Well, what would you say if the gin you were drinking could actually make you look YOUNGER?

Yep, we're weirded out too.

This new idea is about to hit the market with the release of CollaGin - a gin that’s been distilled with, you guessed it, collagen.

The brainchild of entrepreneurs Camilla Brown and Liz Beswick who own the brand Young in Spirit, and it's described as ‘sweet and refined’ and is jam packed with 11 botanicals including rose oil, pink grapefruit and, the best ingredient, collagen.

Collagen is well-known for its beauty benefits, with experts revealing it helps you stay looking youthful with plump-looking skins.

‘Collagen is the most abundant form of protein found in the body, and makes up 25-35% of all protein in humans,’ says nutritionist Zoe Bingley-Pullin tells BAZAAR. ‘It acts as structural support for the skin, so it only makes sense that as collagen levels decrease, the skin is more prone to wrinkles and fine lines.’

We’ve already seen a surge of collagen powders to add to drinks in the market - but this is the first time we’ve seen a spirit infused with collagen, which means you’re giving your skin a boost while enjoying your favourite cocktail.

Collagin is currently available in the UK, and we’re hoping it makes its way to Aussie shores soon. Watch this space!
