With the warmer weather it can be hard to justify whacking on the oven to bake a cake. Not to mention all the measuring of ingredients and clean up.
We present you with the 3-ingredient caramel apple cake, baked using your slow cooker!
It’s as simple as grabbing a few items out of your pantry and away you go.
Shared on the incredible Slow cooker recipe & tips facebook page, followers have been keen as mustard to try the dessert treat.
- 2 x 385g cans of apple pie filling.
- 1 cup of caramel topping.
- 2 x 340g packets of vanilla cake mix
Place apple pie filling in slow cooker.
Then evenly pour in 1 cup of caramel topping.
Make up cake mix batter and evenly pour on top.
Turn your slow cooker on high, place a tea towel under the lid and cook for 3 hours.
Placing a tea towel under the lid of your slow cooker prevents condensation build up.
Serve with custard or ice cream, we vote that you use both. Ha!
