It’s rare that a relationship ends without some acrimony – at best, people can pledge to be friends and move on and wish each other the best.

However, one woman went a step further by writing a VERY long list of do’s and don’ts for her ex-boyfriend’s new girlfriend, which the man then posted on Twitter.

As well as itemizing his favourites things, including favourite colour, drinks and how to give him a massage, she also included a list of ‘don’ts’ such as giving him grief if he was slow to text back, and not finishing a Netflix series without him.

One of the oddest recommendations was about ignoring negative comments about him.

“You will constantly hear negative things about him from people, but just ignore it, trust me it ain’t worth the fight,” she wrote.

“Omg lol! All you need to know right there,” wrote one Twitter user.

“That’s like the kinda list I write when someone has to look after my cat because it can’t look after itself - not a grown ass man,” added another.

Some, however, thought the list was sweet and thoughtful.

"She knows that much about you because she paid attention because she loved you enough to want to know everything about you,” one woman wrote.

“I wish at least ONE of the guys I’ve ever dated would’ve taken the time to know even half of this about me. This kinda stuff doesn’t happen often enough.”

The man in question, Jacob Brown, was pretty happy too, posting: My ex girlfriend wrote this for me and it’s literally the best thing I ever gotten in my life.”

Makes you wonder why they split in the first place! However, Jacob’s ex had this to say on the matter:

“You’re gonna have to learn how to overcome big obstacles that come your way, and that’s where I f*cked up, I can’t do that for him, but he’s so perfect and I hope you are “the one” he’s always been talking about.”
