Why royal fans are SO angry about THIS new photo of mum, Meghan Markle

They're up in arms!

Meghan Markle, the Duchess of Sussex, made her first public appearance this weekend, just a month after she gave birth to baby Archie.

Meghan appeared with the Royal Family at the traditional Trooping The Colour balcony photos.

But royal fans were left disappointed when the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were hidden at the back of the group on the balcony at Buckingham Palace to watch planes perform a fly-past.

Last year, Meghan and Harry stood behind Prince Charles and the Queen but this year, the new parents appeared to be tucked to one side, right behind Prince Andrew.

'Why is Meghan at the back? Why are Meghan and Harry behind Andrew, when they are more important in royal protocol?' said one fan.

“Are we really not getting good shots of Meghan and Harry on the balcony? Shame,” wrote one.

"Meghan gave birth A MONTH ago and now she is forced to stand at the back? What's going on????" said another. "Shouldn't she be front and centre near the QUEEN????"

“I’m sure there’s some order of ranking as to why Harry and Meg are stowed away in the corner,” said one.

When Meghan and Harry were stood behind Kate and Will at Trooping the Colour last year, Joe Little, managing editor of Majesty magazine, told PEOPLE, “She was not as prominent perhaps as some people might have expected, but there’s a pecking order.

“There was no slight intended, but William being the older, more senior brother would go out [first] with his wife.”

But according to royal sources, no-one dictates who stands where on the balcony - but the family do make sure that all the children stand at the front so they get a good view of the RAF fly-past.

Prince Louis stole the show this year as he made his debut royal engagement, in the arms of his mum, Kate Middleton.

The smiling 13-month-old tot looked adorable as appeared at Buckingham Palace with his older siblings, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, and waved at the crowds on the balcony.
