'Weight schmeight': The Young Mummy's post everyone should read

Her priority is healing her body.

February 17 2017

Holding everything together with @activetruth leggings👊🏻I'm not going to try to pretend to be one of those girls that 'snaps back'. Not that there's anything wrong with that. Some women's bodies do in fact magically fling back post-birth and lucky them! Others work really hard to get their body back and yet never really get there. I - and I can only speak for myself - believe in FIXING my body first and foremost before worrying about my weight. My little tummy is sticking around, and guess what? I'm only four weeks postpartum, therefore so it bloody should be! I had a severe case of abdominal separation, a vagina on the verge of prolapsing, and torn upper abdominal muscles. Let's just say my body is a little broken at the moment. So my focus is on healing & repairing before diving straight into exercise because that ain't going to do nobody any good. Weight-schmeight. Take care of yourself ladies! I'm taking all the pelvic & tummy support I can 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻 [p.s i even wore these over my belly when I was pregnant for support ✔️]

She added: “Some women's bodies do in fact magically fling back post-birth and lucky them! Others work really hard to get their body back and yet never really get there. I - and I can only speak for myself - believe in FIXING my body first and foremost before worrying about my weight.”

Following the birth of her daughter Florence Betty Margaret Cachia, the mum who is only four weeks postpartum says she had “a severe case of abdominal separation, a vagina on the verge of prolapsing, and torn upper abdominal muscles.”

"So my focus is on healing & repairing before diving straight into exercise because that ain't going to do nobody any good. Weight-schmeight."

She finished with a reminder for all the ladies out there to follow in her footsteps and "take care of yourself!"
