Last week, bookies suspended bets on Princess Eugenie - daughter of Prince Andrew, Duke of York - expecting a baby with her husband of one year, Jack Brooksbank.
According to Express, there was a record-breaking flurry of bets on whether the 29-year-old was expecting after she attended designer Misha Nonoo’s pop-up at New York Fashion Week a clothing line.
The odds fell as low as 8/13 and as a result, betting on the topic was suspended.
"The odds of Eugenie and Jack sharing some good news soon have taken another plunge with the latest betting definitely suggests an announcement may be around the corner," a spokesperson for Bookmakers.tv told the publication.
The representative also noted that Eugenie was not alone in the speculation.
"As always, Royal watchers would love to see another royal baby, with some punters even suggesting the Queen may have three new grand-children during 2020, as odds plummet to 5/1," they added.
The odds on Prince William and Kate welcoming a fourth child in 2020 were slashed after the Duchess gushed over children at the Back to Nature garden launch at Wisley last week.
According to Express, bookies shortened the odds on Kate giving birth by the end of 2020 to 1/2 and also placed the chances of Meghan having her second child in 2020 at 4/7.
"There’ll be plenty for royalists to sink their teeth into next year if the latest odds are anything to go by, with a royal wedding and two babies potentially on the way," said Alex Apati of Ladbrokes.
