Toddlers who throw huge temper TANTRUMS are more likely to end up RICH, say top psychologists.

Relief!

A European survey has found that if your toddler REBELS against you, throws a crazy TANTRUM and DEFIES your authority – they are more likely to find success in a high-flying career and get rich in as an adult!

Boom!

study published in Developmental Psychology tracked the income and education of kids who attended schools in Luxembourg and found that those who resisted authority and defied their parents in their younger years, tended to stay in school longer, go into further education and succeed in top jobs.

Another study from the University of Pennsylvania psychologist, Angela Duckworth, also backed this theory up. She said that if kids display a personality trait she labelled as ‘grit’ from an early age, they are far more likely to find career success.

BOOM!

Grit, she determined meant "perseverance and passion for long-term goals".

So next time your toddler demands the iPad for hours, you can be comforted by the fact that they will soon be a high-flying CEO or doctor!

Toddler temper tantrums are a worry for many parents as their children hit their first birthday and beyond. Many question if the screaming and shouting is all a normal and natural part of development.

But psychologists say that it is.

During this time of their development, children often don’t have words to express big emotions or feelings. Tantrums are one way young children express and manage feelings, and try to understand or change what’s going on around them.

So, both these studies should help any parent get through the next huge meltdown in Coles or Woolies when they want to push the trolley and decide to tell the whole supermarket how unhappy they are.

Are we right?
