There’s a Tinder especially for mums now

In days of old, playgroups and first time mother’s groups were a way for women in a similar stage of life to connect with one another. In 2017, that’s being eclipsed by Peanut – a Tinder-like app designed to match like-minded mums in the same location. Think virtual playgroup – except you get to choose who you hang with.
Much like Tinder, Peanut users swipe up to connect with someone, down to disregard. An algorithm finds women in the same location and with the same interests. You can even find women based on shared experiences, from being a single mum to having a child with special needs, the New York Times reports.
Peanut was created by London-based entrepreneur Michelle Kennedy, who helped to launch Bumble and saw a gap in the market after she had her first child.
