New York’s Whitney Museum of Modern American Art, known for its kid-friendly activities and programs, just started a new initiative – Stroller Tours.
Each month parents and caregivers can take their babies aged between 0 to 18 months to see a range of exhibitions at the museum. The tours take place before the gallery opens to the public, between 9.30 and 10.30 am. And according to the site, ‘crying babies are welcome!’
Stroller Tours were introduced to create a less stressful experience for ‘new mums and dads’. Guides tailor their walkthroughs according to each group’s needs – if there’s a crying baby the tour guide might speak louder or introduce a quick break.
Adult tickets start from $25 while children under 18 are free.
