A Sydney mum has given birth to twins 31 days apart.
Danielle Paull says she enjoying getting to her know baby Harley, who was born November 26 at the Royal Hospital for Women at Randwick, exactly one month after his sister Sadie.
The rare birth is known as delayed interval delivery, which started after Paull was taken to intensive care for a previous heart condition, the Southern Courier reports.
Paull began dilating at 19-weeks and gave birth to Sadie five-weeks later.
“I was not able to express (breast milk) because that might bring on labour,” Paull told the Southern Courier in November.
“We have been getting donor milk from a milk bank in Queensland. It's a charity ‒ there is no equivalent in NSW yet.”
The twins grew in a separate sac and each had their own placenta.
After a month in a $100,000 hi-tech incubator, Sadie is doing well and ready to get to know her younger twin brother.
