For many, the story Sally Faulker's botched child recovery operation is a distant memory, but Australian mother-of-three lives with it every day.
Taking to Instagram, Sally has shared a series of gorgeous but heartbreaking photos of her two children, Lahela and Noah, who were aged just 3 and 5 at the time, and are thought to be with their father Ali Elamine in Lebanon after he refused to return them after a scheduled short holiday.
The new photos come after Sally found a heartbreaking picture of her daughter on social media.
Sharing the picture on her Facebook page, Sally wrote: "This photo right here!!!!!! Found on the school page.. This was enough to break me into a million pieces today.
"What is she thinking in this moment? She looks so lost! I miss you Lahela. I hope you were looking out the window dreaming of the moment you and your brother come home and are truly happy again. . I just want to cuddle you and never let go. Don't be
"I just want to cuddle you and never let go. Don't be sad baby. Please don't be sad. One day I'll make this right and you will know that your mummy never gave you up.”
