FantaSea Cruises has whale-watching cruises with a marine biologist on every tour and an onboard hydrophone for passengers to hear, as well as see, migrating whales off Sydney Harbour.
Hosted by a FantaSea marine biologist, each cruise is capped at limited numbers to ensure every passenger has a front-row seat to the tail- and fin-slapping and leaping Humpback whales migrating north from Antarctic waters each year.
Prices start at $25 for children and $49 for adults, with packages available for families and groups, on board the newest, largest and most comfortable catamaran on Sydney Harbour. All whale-watching tickets and packages are redeemable if the tour group does not encounter a whale.

FantaSea whale-watching Cruises run 7 days a week from May 19 until the whales have finished their journey past our coast, usually late October to early November – we let them decide! Vessels depart from King Street Wharf 9 for a 3 hour cruise at 1pm daily and from Circular Quay East Pontoon at 1.30pm. On weekends (Friday to Sunday) there is an additional departure at 9am from King Street Wharf (9.30am from Circular Quay East Pontoon).
