A picture of Prince Harry talking to a flame-haired little boy is melting hearts today.
The royal was snapped chatting with the smartly-dressed boy while attending the Metropolitan Police's annual ceremony of remembrance.
As part of the service, Harry planted a cherry tree in memory of the fallen officers.
Retired chief superintendent Sid MacKay said: “I spoke to Prince Harry and I found him to be caring and interested, he had a sense of compassion and understanding.
“Unless you’ve actually lost someone though, it’s very difficult to convey properly how that person feels."
