Prince George Under Attack By Facebook Trolls

Despite his royal status and cheeky grin, not even Prince George is safe from Facebook trolls. 

Angela Gibbins, an executive at a British taxpayer-funded body aimed at promoting the UK abroad, attacked Prince George on Facebook saying he was "privileged, rich and living off public money."

Gibbins commented on a photo of George posted on Facebook, which said, "The third in line to the throne 'already looks like a f***ing dickhead."

According to British media, Gibbon’s wrote in the comments: "White privilege. That cheeky grin is the innate knowledge he's royal, rich, advantaged and will never know ANY difficulties or hardships in life.""

Adding, "Let's find photos of 3yo Syrian refugee children and see if they look alike, eh?"

The reaction to Gibbins' comments were negative with some questioning how she came to her conclusion.

"You look at a smiling child and this is the kind of stuff you think? You need some time off the internet," one user said.

The British Council has responded saying, "Disciplinary procedures with the individual concerned" have begun.

"These opinions have absolutely no connection to the British Council and do not represent our views or our values. We are as upset about this as many others are."
