Parents who lost two young sons six weeks apart have spoken about their grief.
Julia and Peter Roberts from Borden Indiana say they are trying to cope with the tragedies.
The couple's two-year-old son, William Gage Roberts, wandered off while they family was working in their farm. Sadly, the boy drowned in a creek behind their property.
Six weeks later, on March 8, the family suffered another great loss when their six-year-old son, Ayden, was killed in a car accident, while Peter was driving him to school.
"I don’t know what to do from here," the boys' mother told Inside Edition.
Julia added that her husband Peter isn’t handling things well at all.
"He's having a real hard time," she said, adding that he blames himself for their eldest son's death.
Describing her sons, Julia said they were “best friends”.
"They loved each other so much. They loved playing together. They loved sports," she said.
Following the death of William, Julia said Ayden would try and cheer her up.
"He tried to cheer me up most of the time. He was such a sweet boy. Last week, I was crying and he said, 'Mummy, don't cry'."
A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help the family pay for the funerals of the two boys.
The two boys are survived by their younger brother Damien.
