Wow! Who needs Elf On The Shelf? Mum creates 'Shiraz On the Shelf' for parents!

It doesn't matter if you're naughty or nice!

November 28 2018

While your kids become obsessed with Elf On The Shelf this Christmas, an entrepreneurial mum has come up with an adult version - Shiraz On The Shelf!

Elf On The Shelf is a game where parents hide a little elf around the house whose job it is to report back to Santa in the North Pole about the kids behaviour.

If the kids are naughty, the Elf tells Santa if he should bring pressies.

But Dena Blizzard, who also goes by the name One Funny Mother, has come up with a version of the game for mums and dads!

The Shiraz on the Shelf sells for $29.99 (US) and includes a wine glass and a poem, and it "doesn't matter if you're good or bad."

The website says: 'This perfectly packaged gift set includes a designed wine glass and hilarious illustrated booklet with your new favorite inappropriate Christmas poem. Shiraz on the Shelf is an ideal gift for everyone on your list, but especially the harried, under-appreciated moms out there who might need a little help to survive the holidays.'

Shiraz on the Shelf is always there in the morning,” Blizzard says in the promo video. “Shiraz on the Shelf is really never hidden. It’s left in the open for a drunk lady to find.”

While the actual Shiraz is not included in the set, it’s said to be  “highly encouraged.”

If you're looking for a wine-gift to give this Christmas, there are plenty to choose from with everything from wine advent calendars  (check out our favourites here) to Christmas gingerbread gin!
