An angry mum is facing charges after she went INTO her son’s school to confront the 9-year-old kids who have allegedly been bullying her son.
Jamie Louise Rathburn said she felt unable to “get the message across any other way,” according to a police report.
The mum was arrested last month after she posted a since-deleted video of herself on Facebook ranting about the Year 3 children who attend Greenbrier Elementary School, USA.
She then deleted the video but police arrested her after seeing the video, three days later, and charged her with interfering, disrupting or disturbing schools.
The Greenville County Sheriff’s Office said the incensed mum went to her son’s class during the morning school drop-off.
School CCTV shows her walking up to a group of kids “lift her finger in a pointing manner and circle around as if making sure all the kids heard her and were listening.”
Three witnesses told police that Rathburn was yelling at the children.
The report states that Rathburn also “used profanity while inside the school directly towards one specific teacher.”
A teacher told deputies that Rathburn yelled about “not knowing who was bullying her son but that she was going to find them and their moms.”
Rathburn apologized for “allowing emotions to control” her behavior but has since been banned from school grounds.
“I can’t go eat lunch with my children,” Rathburn said. “I can’t watch them on field day. As class mom, that’s devastating.”
She has since apologised for her behaviour but faces a huge fine and up to a year in jail if convicted of the crime.
After her arrest she wrote on Facebook that she would protect her children at all costs in an emotional post.
