Kate Middleton has a new string to her bow - she has just been announced as the patron of the Royal Photographic Society.
The Duchess of Cambridge has succeeded the Queen in this role, one the monarch has held for the past 67 years.
She looked radiant and happy as she paid a visit to a photography workshop run by the Royal Photographic Society and Action for Children in a children's centre on Tuesday.
The 37-year-old is a keen photographer and often takes her children's official portraits herself.
Kate joined children taking part in a workshop run by the organisation, which supports disadvantaged kids from across the UK.
The workshop will help children express themselves and release their thoughts and feelings through the medium of photography.
The mother of three has often documented important milestones in her children's lives including birthdays and first days at school which have been shared on the official Kensington Palace Instagram page.
Some recent images include pictures of her youngest son, Louis, when he celebrated his first birthday on April 23.
Nicola Conville has worked as a journalist and editor for more than 20 years across a wide range of print and online publications. Her areas of expertise are parenting, health and travel. She has two children; Lucy, age eight, and Nathan, age five.
