Police and family hold concerns for her welfare as her disappearance is out of character.

Xanthia is described as Caucasian, around 165cm tall with a slim build, fair complexion, long blonde hair and blue eyes.

She was wearing a grey cotton hooded jumper with grey tracksuit pants.

Her family has posted a number of frantic messages on Facebook since she went missing, begging people to spread the word and keep watch for her.

"Xanthia my beautiful daughter, if you see this, please just come home to us. You're not in trouble we just need you to be safe and well," her father wrote in one post.

Xanthia's father told 10 daily he believed she had been at a party on Friday night, when she became upset and left in the early hours of Saturday.

He said the family believed she may have travelled south, to around the Gold Coast region.

"We want her to know she's not in trouble, it will all be over when she comes home, she just needs to think about her family and siblings," her father said.

"We need her safe," he added, pleading for any information as to her whereabouts.

Anyone who may have seen the girl or know her whereabouts is urged to come forward.
