A daycare centre's message to parents has gone viral asking them to “get off their phone”.
Mum Juliana Farris Mazurkewicz shared a photo of the sign on Facebook and it has since been shared over a million times.
"You are picking up your child! GET OFF YOUR PHONE!" the message in front of the Texas daycare read. "Your child is happy to see you! Are you happy to see your child??"
"We have heard a child say, "'Mummy, Mummy, Mummy . . . ' and the parent is paying more attention to their phone than their own child," the note added. "It is appalling."
Many commenters agree with the sign.
"What is SO important that you can't get off the phone for 5 minutes to pick YOUR child up who hasn't seen you all day. Or maybe you shouldn't have had kids if their that much of a burden to you," wrote one mum.
Another said: “Great post ... hope parents pay attention!”
Not everyone agreed with the sign.
“Not sure that SCREAMING (all caps) at parents is an effective communication. There is a more effective way to make a request likely using the words 'please' and 'thank you'," one commenter added.
"Or you could mind your beeswax."
What do you think? Is this sign too "aggressive" or a good idea?
