David Bowie’s son Duncan Jones welcomed his first child July 10, exactly six months after he died.
Jones shared the news on Twitter revealing the very special name: Stenton David Jones, after his grandfather, but also his great grand father Haywood Stenton Jones.
Stenton would have been Bowie’s first grandchild.
In a tribute to his dad, Duncan wrote on Twitter: "Stenton David Jones. Born July 10th, exactly six months after his grandad made room for him. Love you both so."
Duncan also paid tribute to his wife Rodene Ronquillo on Twitter.
"All my love and awe to the incredible @rodeneronquillo who made a human being in her belly. Warrior woman & every day, my hero," he said.
Speaking about the death of his dad on the Nerdistpodcast in May, Jones said: "I’m OK, I’m good. I was very fortunate, we got a chance to say our goodbyes. It’s a weird one for me, I don’t really know how to talk about it or what to say about it – other than the fact that we got a chance to say our goodbyes."
