Chrissy Teigen has hit back at critics after she was accused of holding her baby daughter "like a handbag".
The model, author and new mum was photographed carrying six-month-old Luna to the car while out in New York City with husband John Legend.
The picture, however, didn’t sit well with one Twitter user who shared it online with the caption: "This is not how a baby is held.”
She added: "I don't give a c... where that baby popped out from! Do not hold a baby like a handbag!"
Snapping back, Teigen wrote: "Well, you hold your handbag like a f...... idiot then."
It didn’t stop there. The user retaliated and attempted to justify her post, saying, "Nothing grinds my t... like a person holding a baby inappropriately! I almost grew up deformed cause I dislocated my arm for two days as a baby!"
Teigen shot back: "Let me know how you hold your baby when she's about [to get] into a stroller and there are 20 camera flashes at night."
In another post, Tiegen wrote, "Photos are literally split-second moments in time that evolve.
"I despise mommy shamers. I am a proud shamer of mommy shamers."
Teigen isn’t a stranger to online criticisim, recently making her Twitter account private.
The star confirmed the news to a fan revealing she wasn’t “strong enough anymore” to have her account public.
"It's not haters or trolls or generally mean people," she wrote. "I just feel like I am absorbing bad shit 24/7. My body and mind cannot handle it anymore."
