Australian television host and Gold Logie winner Carrie Bickmore has spoken out about her postnatal struggles following the birth of her now 16-month-old daughter, Evie.
The popular host on The Project revealed that she felt "disconnected from the world" making her disinclined to return to work.
Following the tragic death of her husband Greg Lange in 2010, Carrie shared that she never thought she'd have another child after her son Ollie's birth in 2007.
This time around Carrie said that her daughter’s birth sparked a very different motherhood experience. "I loved being off with her. When I had Ollie, it was a different period in my life...I really needed to keep working. I don't remember just stopping and being in the moment," she told Mamamia. "But then with Evie, I was like: 'OK, you never thought you'd have another one, so take time this time and enjoy it.'"
