Why did you choose the Bugaboo Cameleon3

“Steve (my partner) had a Bugaboo Cameleon3 for his first child and really loved it. I’d also heard really good things about it from other parents and knew it had a good reputation.

How do you use it?

I know a lot of people have a big pram and a little stroller but we just have one – we only need one! The Bugaboo Cameleon3 functions for all occasions – quick (car boot) trips to the shops and long walks along the bay. It’s good on all terrain. I know some big prams have issues on sloping and bumpy foot paths but the Bugaboo Cameleon3 is fine. I can even steer it with one hand, which I often find essential so I can drink my coffee as I walk!

It has a big undercarriage which is great for groceries and it means I don’t have to carry a hand bag or nappy bag, too, as I can just pop my purse and baby nappies and essentials in the carriage.

The nuts and bolts: is it easy to assemble and dissemble?

Yes – just the click of one button! It separates into two pieces and easily fits in our average size car boot. It also has great suspension, so Chloe doesn’t feel every bump in the road as we go over it.

The long haul: Does it grow with baby?

Yes it transitions from a bassinet, which we used from newborn to about seven months. Then the seat can be attached and be positioned either forward or rearward facing. It also has three positions. We sit Chloe in the most upright position when we are out and about and use it as a highchair for feeding. It also reclines for nap time. The reclining position allows the torso and head to be slightly elevated, which we found really useful with our reflux baby.

Change of scenery: Any whizz bang accessories?

You can choose your colour combo’s – we have black and grey for the main hood and seat. You can also change the hoods for the season – there’s an extendable UV factor sun canopy to provide extra protection and shade for baby, a winter hood, and a leg cover for very cold weather. There’s also a mosquito cover, coffee cup holder and other accessories like seat inserts.
