Firefighters rescue boy from inside a vending machine at Sydney establishment

Firefighters rescued a boy from inside a vending machine in Sydney earlier this week.
Riverstone Fire and Rescue were called to an establishment in Rouse Hill after the boy was found trapped inside a toy machine.
“Yesterday afternoon Riverstone Firefighters were called to a child stuck in a vending machine at an establishment in Rouse Hill," firefighters said in a statement on their Facebook page.

“Upon arrival firefighters were escorted by security to a soft toy machine and to our surprise a young boy was inside.”
They added that the boy was not distressed and was “having the time of his life playing with all the toys.”
“Using our Rapid Intervention Kit and some careful manipulation techniques Firefighters were able to open the door and free the child.
“Firefighters returned the very happy child to his parents who were very relieved.”
While a child getting stuck inside a vending machine seems unlikely, the comments tell a different story.
“I have been there off duty and on three occasions I have gotten kids out of that/ those machines,” one person wrote.
Another added: “Oh no, it happened again."
