Dad Daniel spoke about the attention their girl received during their stay at Wollongong Hospital, explaining, ‘When I’ve walked around with her there’s always a crowd of people – midwives, other new parents and visitors – around her, asking about her size because she’s so much bigger than all the other newborns.’

The bub’s parents even had to buy new clothes for Remi as the ones they had didn’t fit.

Emma is no stranger to giving birth to big babies, as her daughter Willow, two, and son Ace, four, weighed 5.5kg and 3.8kg respectively when born.

She’s been told by doctors to avoid carrying anything heavier than 6kg while she recovers.
