A 6-year-old London schoolgirl’s letter expressing her upset about her autistic brother being called ‘weird’ in class has gone viral.
The young girl named Lex wrote to her school about the sensitive situation and also highlighted the crucial need for further education about disabilities at school.
‘On Monday I felt very sad because a girl in my class said that my brother was weird. My brother has autism and is not weird,’ the letter begins.
‘I would like it if we could learn about all disabilities in schools so that everybody understands that some people are different, but we should all be treated the same,’ says Lex.
